What does it mean to Trust in Jesus?

The MOST IMPORTANT STEP anyone can take in life is receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and confessing him as Lord.  God created us to have a relationship with him, but something terrible happen:

The BAD news -- all of us have become separated from God

Isaiah 59:2 Our sins have made us separated from God

Romans 3:23 All have sinned and fall short of God’s Glory.

1 John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Romans 6:23 The penalty of sin is spiritual death.

The GOOD news -- God loves each one of us

Romans 4:25 He died for our sins and rose again to make us right with God.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

The GREAT news -- our relationship with God is restored by accepting God’s gift of Jesus

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God--not because of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 10:9 If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Acts 2:38 Repent and be baptized, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
