Join Alpha and Discover Answers to Life’s Big Questions

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of gatherings where people can explore the big questions of life together. Each of the Alpha gatherings explores a different question around faith–and is designed specifically to facilitate open and real conversation. Check out this short video to find out more.

Who is Alpha for?

Alpha is for anyone who’s curious about Christianity. The talks are designed to encourage discussion and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, honest and informal environment.

How does Alpha work?

It Starts with Food

Whether it is the team out after the football game, friends catching up over coffee or family gathered around the kitchen table, food has a way of bringing people together.  The same is true at Alpha. Each session starts with a meal because it’s a great way to build community and get to know each other.

Then There’s a Short Talk

The video talks, typically 25 minutes in length, cover different questions about the Christian faith, and are designed to start conversation. They explore the big issues surrounding faith, addressing the big questions like, Is there more to life than this? Who is Jesus? How can I have faith? Why and how do I pray? How does God guide us? and How can I make the most out of the rest of my life?

Followed by Good Conversation

Probably the most important part of the Alpha gathering is the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the night’s topic, and then discuss it around a table with a small group of people. You don’t have to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say (we mean it!). It’s an opportunity to hear from others and share your own perspective in an honest, friendly, and safe environment.

Alpha meets on Tuesdays from 6:00-8:00pm, January 15 – April 9, 2019.
